According to Wikipedia, “the name Technorati is a portmanteau, pointing to the technological version of literati, or intellectuals.”

Technorati monitors millions of blogs on the web. It actually is a search engine for blogs on the web. It is a place where records are made of all kinds in real time interaction going on locally or globally over the web. It was launched in 2002 with its main focus on blogs. Today it gives the most relevant results to you about photos, videos audio files and of course blogs.
